Awarenes about safety living at the Chornobyl-affected areas

§    In cooperation with leading scientific institutions, CRDP developed and distributed information materials (brochures, booklets, film, posters, CDs – totalling over 20 titles) regarding the consequences of the Chornobyl catastrophe and the conditions of safe living in the contaminated territories. In addition, CRDP conducted a series of trainings for teachers and medical workers on issues of radiation security and healthy life-styles.

§   CRDP supports publications, roundtables and seminars on Chornobyl-related issues and strategies for the recovery of both citizens and institutions. Over the years CRDP conducted regular monitoring of the coverage of Chornobyl-related issues by national and international mass media. In 2005, CRDP saw a great increase (almost three times more in comparison to 2004) in the number of publications, TV and radio reports in Ukrainian and International mass media on the UNDP/CRDP activities and results. In 2006 over 200 articles, TV and radio reports about UNDP/CRDP were produced. In the 1^st half of 2007 97 articles, TV and radio reports on CRDP”s activities were produced. CRDP continuously organises donors’ field visits and press trips to the projects’ sites.
